FEBRUARY 2011 More congratulations to Dan Gay who gained his Night Qualification
JANUARY 2011 John Clark finished his tailwheel conversion on his own aircraft, a Zenair 601 HDS, using our instructors.
Congratulations to Dan Gay who gained his IMC rating.
Airworthy at last, the FW 190 replica was flown to her new base on the 29th and will operate from Norwich only on occasion throughout 2011 due to lack of hangarage there.
The Broussard is nearing completion, she needs a carpet fitted, an intercom fitted and the seats put in. We anticipate engine runs shortly followed by paperwork, inspection by the CAA and all being well a first flight.

SEPTEMBER 2010 The last display for the year was flown by CFMCs Cornell with a Beech Staggerwing at the Seething Charity Air Day on 12th as the FW 190 replica was still awaiting replacement cylinders.
AUGUST 2010 On the 7th August the FW 190 returned to Norwich from an attempted display at East Kirkby with a rough engine. CFMCs Cornell was made available again at very short notice and we managed to get her there to display before the end of the display.
Congratulations to Martin Brock who flew his 1st solo on 17th August
CFMCs Cornell was displayed at Ramsey on 21st August in formation with a L4 Cub as the FW 190 replica was awaiting overhauled cylinders from its engine problems earlier in the month.
After much work from Beech Restorations the Broussard’s wings have been overhauled, repaired and refitted. The aircraft has had a repaint as well and is progressing well.

JUNE 2010 The FW 190 replica was due to display at Bentwaters Airshow on the 13th June. Sadly it still wasn't ready and The Cornell of CFMC was displayed as a worthy replacement.
The FW 190 replica was delivered to Norwich on the 25th after rebuild. She now needs intensive flying to identify and fix any snags.

MAY 2010 More congratulations for passing a skills test and gaining a NPPL to Gavin Struthers on 5th May.
APRIL 2010 The Icelandic Volcano gave aviation a few problems this month, not least us when Norwich Airport closed down for a while. This inconvenienced Dave Puleston who flew the Cessna 182 to pick up a stranded friend from Paris as Norwich elected to close the day before he was due to leave (the 22nd). Fortunately a local private strip owner allowed us to position the 182 to his airstrip 20 minutes before the Airport closed and Dave flew his Paris trip.
